Job Description The Michigan Department of Treasury seeks an Economic Analyst to join our team and support critical research that informs statewide fiscal and economic decisions. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in economics, public policy, or data analysis. In this position, you will: Collect, organize, and validate economic and revenue data related to both the U.S

and Michigan economies. Conduct foundational quantitative analyses to identify trends and key insights. Prepare clear, well-structured written materials summarizing findings for internal and external stakeholders.

If you are a State of Michigan resident, this position is eligible to work remotely three days per week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) and is required to work on-site at the assigned official workstation two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday). Additionally, the selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions while performing the duties of this position, as well as secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Additional onsite work may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to management approval and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time. Please note that remote work is not available if you reside outside of the State of Michigan.
