Description
Job Title: CNC Setup Operator
Location: Swedesboro, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Starting at $21.50/hour
Position Summary:
The CNC Setup Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires interpreting blueprints, performing machine setups, making minor program edits, and ensuring product quality through inspections and adherence to established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review blueprints and determine machining setup and sequence of operations
  • Set up machines, including tooling, fixtures, and materials
  • Adjust machining controls (speed, feed, depth, etc.)
  • Load and retrieve CNC programs; make minor edits as needed
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Monitor production and adjust tooling/offsets to meet tolerances
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and complete required documentation
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to resolve issues
  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Formal CNC training required
  • Minimum 3 years of CNC experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and G/M code
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Ability to operate manual equipment

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods; frequent reaching, bending, and movement

Salary Description
