Aspire Communications is a startup, turn-key technology integration company based in Orlando, Florida. Formed in September of 2019, Aspire has quickly grown into a 150+ person operation in less than five years and continues to rapidly expand.


About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Vetro Drafter to join our network planning team. In this entry-level role, you will work directly alongside our senior Network Drafter, learning the tools and processes used to map and document fiber infrastructure routes using Vetro FiberMap. No prior telecom experience is required - we will train the right candidate.


Responsibilities

  • Draw and update fiber route lines, splice points, and network nodes in Vetro FiberMap under the direction of the Network Drafter
  • Digitize field notes and engineering redlines into Vetro accurately and on time
  • Help maintain layer organization, naming conventions, and drafting standards
  • Perform basic QC checks on your own drawings before submission
  • Assist with permit and make-ready package preparation as needed
  • Participate in team reviews and apply feedback to continuously improve

Requirements

  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new software platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, sketches, or basic engineering drawings
  • Willingness to learn fiber network concepts and drafting standards
  • Reliable, organized, and a good communicator

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Any experience with GIS software (Google Maps, ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
  • Exposure to Vetro FiberMap or similar network mapping tools
  • Background or coursework in drafting, GIS, geography, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of fiber optic or utility infrastructure
