Job description

  • Collaborates and coordinates with Sales Force, customers, vendors and Production
  • Coordinates with estimators for efficient cost options and with production for effective scheduling and may recommend changes or improvements.  Makes decisions on production process and equipment based on job parameters, volume and cost.   
  • Manage jobs through work flow process including customer specifications and POs, scheduling, requisition raw materials and outside operations, bindery requirements and layouts.
  • Planning may require creating new Print based jobs.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to assure completion of production to meet customer demand
  • Ensure jobs are entered into billing quickly and accurately.
  • Performing other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by the manager

Educational/Training/Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical School training desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Print Estimating and/or Job planning experience is preferred with 5 year history
  • Knowledge of color, paper, and print-flow operations highly recommended (including offset      and digital sheetfed, digital webfed, wide format, bindery, finishing and direct mail.
  • Knowledge of operations from layout to post press including finishing and mail is preferred
  • Familiar with Print MIS systems desired, EFI Monarch or PSI

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skills include Organizational, Customer Service, strong problem solving, analytical and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent math skills and measure in applying customer specifications including algebra, equations and geometry
  • Proficient in MS office, particularly excel and word and EFI Monarch software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills, problem solving, logical and practical
