Raytheon's Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems (ALEGS) Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. The ALEGS Department is currently hiring Electrical Engineer II - Production Hardware position in Tucson, AZ to assist with program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of airborne electrical products.
What You Will Do
  • Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog and/or RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience is preferred.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
  • Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually
  • Shift Information: 1st shift

What You Will Learn
  • One will gain knowledge of various electrical components, Circuit Card Assemblies, RF, analog, digital and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis
  • One will achieve a RTX Core Certification and receive Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Training

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years' prior relevant experience
  • Experience with any of the following: RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
  • Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), Advanced Design System (ADS), Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, inertial measurement units (IMU) and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver subsystems.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices.
  • Self-starter who's capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team. Providing technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
