Job description

We NEED a hands-on Prepress Manager/Digital Print Specialist!!!

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining print applications, managing color workflows, onboarding new garments and materials, and ensuring production is set up for consistent, high-quality output.

This is a technical leadership role for someone who thrives in a production environment and enjoys balancing hands-on problem solving with team coordination and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Digtal Print Applications Management

  • Own the development, implementation, and maintenance of digital print application settings across production
  • Lead onboarding and qualification of new garments, substrates, and print applications
  • Build, test, and optimize print recipes, profiles, and technical production settings

Color Management & RIP Workflow

  • Own digital color workflow strategy, calibration, and output consistency
  • Build and maintain linearization curves, ICC profiles, and color standards
  • Manage RIP workflow processes and print output optimization
  • Troubleshoot color inconsistencies and implement corrective actions to maintain print quality standards

Production Technical Support

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for recurring print quality issues when equipment is operating
  • Diagnose technical print issues and determine root cause, including settings, substrate behavior, artwork, or equipment-related concerns
  • Partner with maintenance teams when issues require mechanical intervention

Team Leadership & Department Coordination

  • Lead/support technical applications team, including sample production and file/application support
  • Coordinate daily department priorities, workload, and task ownership
  • Provide hands-on coaching, technical guidance, and mentorship to team members
  • Drive accountability, process consistency, and continuous improvement within the department

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with production, maintenance, IT, client success, and vendors

Qualifications Required

  • 2+ years of experience in digital printing, print production, or related technical print environments
  • Hands-on experience with digital print technologies
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft, and advanced skills in Adobe Suite
  • Strong understanding of color management, print calibration, and output consistency
  • Experience with RIP software and digital print workflow tools
  • Experience troubleshooting print quality issues and identifying technical root causes
  • Comfortable physically operating and testing production print equipment
  • Proven ability to lead technical workflows, prioritize competing demands, and
  • coordinate day-to-day team activity
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Experience building linearization curves, ICC profiles, and calibration workflows
  • Background in apparel decoration, textile printing, or print production environments
