We're hiring a Property Maintenance Engineer to Live. Work. Explore. just one mile from the entrance to the iconic south rim of Grand Canyon National Park!

Job Summary:The Entry-Level Property Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair activities associated with the operations of The Grand Hotel and Tusayan Trading Post, as well as cleaning and maintenance within company housing locations.

The Details:Position Type: Full-Time, Year-RoundPay: $18.40 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Support Xanterra's Mission Statement and Core Values while providing exceptional guest service in all interactions and work performed.
  • Perform custodial, housekeeping, and grounds maintenance duties for company housing and hotel facilities, including cleaning guest and employee areas, room preparation, supply deliveries, snow removal, lawn care, and general property upkeep.
  • Respond to guest and departmental requests, communicate work status effectively, and maintain basic records and equipment data as required.
  • Assist with light maintenance, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance activities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and other facility systems.
  • Follow all company, safety, and regulatory policies and procedures while maintaining clean, safe, and well-functioning facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year experience in general maintenance or housekeeping/residential cleaning.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without close supervision.
  • Willingness to help out in all areas of the Rooms and maintenance departments.

Working Conditions:

Work in inclement weather conditions.

Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, varying shifts, and call out coverage.

Physical Requirements include:

Constantly: Stand, walk.

Frequently: Lift/carry up to 10lbs.

Occasionally: Sit, handle, reach, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 100lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.
