Job Position: DevOps Consultant

Location: Portland, OR

Long Term Contract

Note: Can be done remotely with some client site travel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Impeccable communication skills and customer focus
  • Understanding of Apache HTTPd and Tomcat
  • Understanding of HTTP
  • Linux OS experience - BASH shell, Scripting, Package Management (YUM, YAST, RPM), OS configuration

Good to have QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Quick grasp of customer requirements and the ability to translate them into technical designs
  • Freemarker, AspectJ, Maven, Soy closure templates experience
  • Jive application installation/upgrade experience
  • Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or Postgres experience
  • Understanding of virtualization fundamentals
  • Proficiency across the range of J2EE technologies, particularly the Servlet API, XML, JDBC, and LDAP
  • Good understanding of the JVM and ability to troubleshoot (garbage collection, heap, threads) Struts 2, Spring, etc.
  • Experience on the browser side (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX).
