Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our Richmond, VA office. The Junior Engineer will perform a variety of civil engineering functions in support of a growing office. This Staff Engineer must be flexible, able to work independently, technologically savvy, and remain client focused.

Responsibilities
Civil/Site development including grading design; roadway design; storm water management systems design; sanitary sewer design, water design, and water reuse design; and erosion and sediment control design for private, municipal, state, and federal clients.
Work with a Professional Engineer in preparing all associated drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
Work on design teams in collaboration with other disciplines to achieve project goals and deadlines.
The Work is fast-paced and diverse, ranging from general civil engineering duties to technical work that requires strong communication and capabilities in AutoCAD, Civil3D, ICPR, VADOT, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam.
Position will require learning and becoming proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards, and other Dewberry-specific software programs.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT is preferred.
  • 0- 2years of design experience related to site development projects.
  • AutoCad required and Civil3D preferable.
  • Able to work on teams on different task and meets project deadlines.
  • Work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Composes technical reports, permit documents, memorandums and other written communication such as email.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.

Salary Range
The projected range for this position is $82,000 - $84,500 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
