Position Description: 


The Lube Tech is an entry-level position in the service department. This position assists with minor automotive work while also assisting the service department with day-to-day operations.

The following includes but is not limited to, the duties and working conditions of the Lube Tech. Any time, when it is deemed necessary by management, these duties are subject to change, or you may be requested to assist other employees in other areas:



Essential Duties:

  1. Realize that during every interaction with customers the employee should remember the HERO (Helpful, Exceeds expectations, Represents us well, takes Ownership) program. Our customers are most important and should be treated as such.
  2. Perform minor automotive work as directed by the Service Manager.
  3. Assist with the operation of the Service Department as directed by the Service Manager.
  4. Complete any training as directed by the Service Manager.
  5. Often this will include training which will result in a promotion to a B-Tech and above. Completing training assigned and funded by the dealership is a critical aspect of the job.
  6. Perform any duties assigned by the Service Manager in other departments.
  7. All other duties as assigned.


Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Duties:

  1. Written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Ability to Multi-Task.
  3. Ability to actively listen and follow directions.
  4. Ability to excel in all required training.
  5. Ability to stand and move around for the entire shift.
  6. Must possess a valid In-State Driver's License.


Working Conditions:

Will be standing and moving throughout the service department for the entire shift. May require lifting, pushing, or pulling weights in excess of 75lbs. Duties will be performed primarily indoors, but in conditions that are exposed to the elements. (Open bay doors, in roofed area.)
