Intervention, Inc., a Colorado non-profit, provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs), electronic monitoring, probation supervision and community corrections.

Title: Technology Specialist
This is an entry level Criminal Justice position
Starting Pay: $19.10/hr
Location: Thornton, CO
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
This position requires in-custody technology hookups in a jail setting.
OVERVIEW
This entry-level criminal justice position will monitor caseload of clients ordered to comply with Intervention technology including but not limited to electronic monitoring, monitored sobriety and/or GPS. Completes record keeping and compliance reporting.
  • Support, promote and adhere to the mission, values and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc.
  • Reflect Intervention Inc.'s commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect.
  • Meet with new clients and explain program rules and regulations, deadlines, and client responsibilities and expectations.
  • Enter client data into the Technology Management System and ICON.
  • Hook wearable technology on clients, download information from wearable devices
  • Maintain complete, accurate and timely case file, both paper and electronic, for each client on caseload.
  • Assess and collect client fees, issue receipt to clients and secure payment appropriately
  • Work with probation staff and/or criminal justice personnel on client issues and client staffing as directed by manager
  • Monitor drug and alcohol tests, including UA monitoring of same sex clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);and one year customer service experience
  • Computer skills -- Ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to remain calm in and de-escalate stressful situations
  • Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.
  • Must have ability to access state criminal databases
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to handle office traffic such as answering phones and dealing with walk in clients.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot/problem solve.
