2027 Supplier Quality Engineer

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data to evaluate current processes and seek and recommend ways to improve processes and product.

  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including supplier quality manuals and company quality records.

  • Participate in quality audits to include internal quality system and process audits as well as external supplier quality system and process audits.

  • Recommend updates as needed to maintain the document and data collection systems.

  • Provide technical support and information to other departments, vendors, and customers as requested to collect data from company metrics, vendor metrics, and quality inspection data.

  • Assist in analyzing company and supplier data to recommend continuous improvement projects.

  • Support tracking and reporting of monthly metrics including supplier PPM, corrective action completion, trip reports, nonconforming material dispositions, delinquent PPAP, and Fair submissions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field required

  • Years of Experience: 0-2 years of experience required

  • Software Knowledge: ISO‑QS9001 Quality Management Systems and related tools including APQP, PPAP, control failure modes and effects analysis preferred

  • Ability to interpret part/assembly blueprints and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
