RAYUS Radiology is looking for an Associate AI Software Engineer to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As an Associate AI Software Engineer,you will be responsible for working with our partner vendor for AI platform, and other AI programming tools like Python and Typescript to build and deploy data-driven solutions across our healthcare system. You will be responsible for developing and managing data workflows, analyzing large datasets, and integrating AI and analytics solutions into real-world applications. This is a hands-on role that focuses on executing analytics use cases from start to finish, supporting end-to-end development of analytics applications.

This is an entry level role.NEW GRADSare encouraged to apply and if selected will interview with RAYUS and our vendor partner. The role is remote with occasional in office attendance required at our St. Louis Park, MN location. MN candidates are preferred.

The pay range for this position is $65,000-$95,000 based on direct and relevant experience.

This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(65%) Systems Development

  1. Collaborate with business analysts, business partners, and other stakeholders, to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  2. Review software solutions based on standard requirements, and ensure adherence to RAYUS quality controls
  3. Utilize programming languages and tools relevant to the RIS/PACS, and other business solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Perform unit and regression testing based upon defined plans and documents/reports outcomes to technical lead
  5. Participate in project meetings including Agile/Scrum grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups
  6. Collaborate within an agile software development process with the software engineers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders, to ensure a coordinated and efficient development process
  7. Provide estimates and supporting documentation for new development, maintenance and enhancements
  8. Collaborate with the quality assurance team in the testing of new software

(30%) Application Maintenance

  1. Provide technical assistance and provide timely resolutions to minimize disruptions and adheres to defined service level agreements (SLAs).Respond to software development issues and escalations related to technical obstacles or peer review in a timely manner.
  2. Performs comprehensive root cause analysis and problem-solving with internal and external stakeholders
  3. Provides off hours support for critical maintenance or problem resolution as required
  4. Collaborates across teams to share knowledge that informs optimal service delivery
  5. Maintains comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, in TFS, Confluence, ServiceNow and other repositories as needed
(5%) Other Duties
  1. Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
Required:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
  2. Experience in software development, data engineering, or analytics roles required.
    Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, and Typescript for building analytics applications and managing large datasets required.
  3. Proven ability to translate broad business concepts into effective and scalable data solutions required.
  4. Experience in developing data models and performing data analysis required.
Preferred:
  1. Familiarity with designing scalable and efficient analytics frameworks
  2. Hands-on experience with analytics platforms and tools, including performance optimization and data visualization tools
  3. AI and LLM Aptitude: Strong curiosity and foundational understanding of AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP), with a willingness to apply and deepen knowledge in these areas
  4. Experience collaborating with senior leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to address strategic challenges
  5. Familiarity with AI and data science platforms for developing and deploying data-driven solutions
  6. Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, for translating complex data insights into actionable, user-friendly visuals
