Job description

Job Summary:

They are seeking an Associate Data Analyst who will collect, process, and analyze large datasets to inform decisions in grape growing and winemaking operations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve data processes and build applications.
Responsibilities:
• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to surface trends that inform smarter decisions across grape growing and winemaking operations.
• Help build applications that consolidate and protect data, and craft dashboards and reports that make complex information accessible to teams across the business.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data processes, contribute to quality assurance testing, and help document and train others on the tools you help build.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate AND Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, or Engineering plus 1 year of experience in programming, data analysis, BI reporting, software engineering or software development; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate AND Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in programming, data analysis, BI reporting, software engineering or software development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Basic level experience with SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy).
• Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel at an intermediate level.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written with the ability to explain complex issues in an easily understandable manner.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
Preferred:
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate AND Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, or Engineering plus 3 year of experience in programming, data analysis, BI reporting, software engineering or software development.
• Previous experience in natural sciences, fermentation, viticulture, or winemaking.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Experience working with data using SQL and Python.
• Experience working in a cloud-based environment such as AWS.
