Job Title: Data Analyst About Busek

Busek Co. Inc. is a pioneer in advanced space propulsion and technology. Located in Natick, MA, we develop innovative solutions that enable the future of space exploration. Our products and technologies include electric propulsion systems, chemical propulsion, and advanced material development. Join our team to work on cutting-edge projects that shape the space industry.

Position Overview

Busek is seeking a Data Analyst to support the analysis of test and production data for advanced space propulsion systems. This role will work closely with Engineering, Test Operations, and Manufacturing to transform large volumes of technical data into meaningful insights that improve product performance, manufacturing processes, and production readiness.

The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and quickly learn new systems and technologies. While experience with electric propulsion is beneficial, candidates with strong data analysis skills and experience supporting engineering or manufacturing organizations are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze data generated from engineering testing, production, and manufacturing activities to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate technical findings to engineering and leadership teams.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test Operations to support product development and production initiatives.
  • Validate data quality and ensure the integrity of engineering and manufacturing datasets.
  • Support root cause investigations through data analysis and statistical evaluation.
  • Assist in developing automated reporting and data analysis tools to improve efficiency.
  • Document analysis methods, assumptions, and results to support engineering decisions.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve data collection, reporting, and decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets using Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and learn new technologies with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, actionable analysis.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience using Python, MATLAB, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or other technical organizations.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience working with production, manufacturing, or test data.
  • Knowledge of electric propulsion, aerospace systems, or other advanced engineering technologies is a plus but not required.
Benefits
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Retirement savings plan (401k).
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.
What We Offer
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge space propulsion technology.
  • Exposure to advanced engineering, testing, and manufacturing operations.
  • Opportunity to influence product development and production decisions through meaningful data analysis.
  • Collaborative environment working alongside engineers developing next-generation space systems.
