Our entry-level Data Center Cleaning Technician 1 is to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained environments that protect customer critical infrastructure and support their operational efficiency. Their work helps safeguard sensitive equipment from dust, contamination, and other hazards that could impact performance.  

What You’ll Work On 

  • Follow all safety rules and wear the right safety gear. 

  • Use tools and equipment the correct way. 

  • Report anything unsafe right away. 

  • Be ready for emergencies like spills, fires, or needing to leave the building quickly. 

  • Keep your work area clean and organized. 

  • Finish your work on time and do your best. 

  • Talk and work well with your team and supervisor. 

  • Get your OSHA 10 safety certificate within six months of starting the job. 

What You’ll Need  

  • Be at least 18 years old. 

  • Be able to read and speak English at a grade 5 level. 

  • Be allowed to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. 

  • Pass a background check and drug test. 

  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. 

  • Show up on time and work your full schedule. 

  • Let your team know ahead of time if you’ll be absent. 

  • Be okay with changes in your work schedule. 

  • Follow detailed instruction. 

  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. 

  • Be willing to travel and stay overnight for work when needed. 

Required Physical Demands 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.   

  • The employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time. 

  • The employee is frequently required to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties. 

  • At times, employee is required to: work from ladders or vertical lifts; to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, push or pull heavy rolling loads; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.   

  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

  • At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position. 

  • At times, overnight travel will be required. Accommodation and per diem will be provided.
