Job description

SkyWater is hiring an OPC / DFM Engineer for our HQ site in Bloomington, MN.

This position will focus on Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) techniques and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in a cross-functional setting in a customer-centered environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with a variety of teams around the business and will be responsible for CDSEM metrology procedures, data collection requirements and maintaining data analysis scripts to support development of OPC models. The position will also collaborate with tapeout engineers to create/update mask tapeout flows, maintain training documents and able to develop future skills to create OPC models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain CDSEM metrology procedures.
  • Define and maintain data collection procedures to meet customer requirements.
  • Train process technicians on CDSEM metrology collection techniques and establish BKMs.
  • Create and maintain data analysis scripts to handle large data sets from multiple sources that enable OPC model calibrations and correction recipe development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or other relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 1+ year in CDSEM recipe creation and data collection supporting OPC modeling development work
  • Familiarity with Python or similar scripting language for handling large data sets composed of disparate data streams.
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive interpersonal skills, highly energetic and self-motivated.
  • Experience with application of structured problem-solving methodology
  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using machine learning tools to sanitize large data sets, create code or utilities, and improve engineering workflows.
  • Support customer requests through test structure creation and reticle builds.
  • Work closely with design, layout, and process engineers to understand and incorporate technology requirements into the OPC models and PDKs.
