*Assists students in navigating university resources to meet academic and career goals within the guidelines of their visa status. *Participates in the planning and implementation of cultural and social adjustment programs, including orientation and mentoring activities. *Supports the preparation and delivery of immigration information sessions for student groups.

*Denotes Essential Function Duties and Responsibilities (Band B) *Serves as International Student Advisor to advise international students on immigration policies and regulations directly affecting or affected by curricular requirements, academic options, policies and procedures. *Functions as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), certified by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the US Department of State (DOS) respectively, to ensure the university's compliance with federal regulations governing the enrollment of international students and exchange visitors. *Utilizes the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) with specialized knowledge and expertise for the interpretation and application of complex federal regulations and academic policies and procedures.

*Assists students in formulating and assessing academic and career goals as allowed within the guidelines of their visa status. *Plans, implements and participates in a wide range of international students cultural and social adjustment programs, including orientation and mentoring programs. *Prepares, develops, and presents immigration Information sessions for small groups and large audiences.
