Salary: $15.00/hour (a $.50 increase will occur after 6 months of service)
Training Shift: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM for two consecutive weeks (Hybrid)
Training Class Start Date: Tuesday September 8thย 
Long Term Shift: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Hybrid- 2 days per week onsite)

Job Purpose and Summaryย 
ย 
PHEAA is looking for results-oriented and detailed-focused individuals to join our team as an entry-level Full Time Data Processing Clerk! This role is responsible for reviewing incoming documentation from customers or other entities and making account adjustments based on the requests in alignment with department procedures.ย  ย 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Reviewing incoming documents, calculate income, revise or make changes to account information such as demographic information (name, address, phone number, date of birth, etc.), repayment plans, due dates, postponing payments including deferments and forbearances, borrower correspondence, or other account adjustments.

Compile and prepare information necessary to process adjustments to existing loans, new loans, or consolidation of loans. ย 

Requests are reviewed and honored in conjunction with the standards set by the Department of Education and Owner/Lender guidelines.

Process and document adjustments to accounts, applications for loans, or other changes to account status.ย 

Report customer issues and concerns to supervisor.ย 

Training Class Detailsย 

Our knowledgeable staff creates a comprehensive training program to ensure our team members are destined for success.

Candidates must complete a two week training program that combines lecture and practice on live customer accounts and performs account adjustments.ย 

Due to the amount and complexity of information, time off will not be permitted during the training period.ย 

Periodic training assessments with passing scores are required to continue through the full training program.ย
