Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Data Center Installers & Technicians (3493) in Leesburg, VA. This long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity focuses on supporting large-scale hardware and cabling deployments within a high-demand, hyperscale data center environment. The ideal candidate has a background in construction, labor, or data center infrastructure and is committed to a consistent 58-hour weekly production schedule in Leesburg, VA.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24 to $28 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, route, and secure fiber and copper cabling throughout the data center facility according to project specifications.
  • Support the physical deployment of server racks, cabinets, and other critical infrastructure components.
  • Work from ladders and lifts to install equipment in overhead pathways and high-reach areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
  • Assist senior technicians with the labeling and documentation of infrastructure for quality assurance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry standards for working in mission-critical environments.
  • Collaborate with project leads to ensure all tasks are completed within the required project timelines.
  • Adhere to a rigorous 58-hour weekly schedule, including 10-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour shifts on Saturdays.

Qualifications:

  • Must live within a 45-minute commute of the Leesburg, VA project site.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle for daily transportation to the site.
  • Minimum of 6 months of recent data center experience required to qualify for Technician-level roles.
  • Construction or general labor background is highly preferred for entry-level Installer roles.
  • Ability to work a 58-hour weekly schedule (Monday through Saturday) consistently.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and from ladders or lifts throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive OSCC background check and drug screening.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong commitment to long-term contract-to-hire assignments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk on large job sites for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable working from ladders and lifts at heights up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for prolonged periods of time during installation tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to use hand tools and manipulate small cabling components.
  • Ability to work in environments with moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $24 to $28 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
