Entry-Level Data Center Installer (Cable Technician)

Location: Leesburg, VA

Industry: Data Center / Construction / Telecommunications

Overview

We are looking for motivated, hands-on individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Data Center Installers in Leesburg, VA. This is a great opportunity for candidates coming from construction, electrical, or other trades backgrounds who are looking to break into the growing data center industry.

No prior data center experience is required — we provide on-the-job training. If you’re comfortable working with tools, enjoy physical work, and want to build a long-term career in tech infrastructure, this is the role for you.


What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assist with installing and building out data center infrastructure
  • Pull, route, and secure fiber and copper cabling
  • Install cable trays, ladder racks, and server racks
  • Support termination of cables and basic hardware installation
  • Read and follow blueprints and structured work instructions
  • Label, organize, and document installed equipment
  • Work alongside experienced technicians and team leads
  • Follow all safety, quality, and site standards

What We’re Looking For
  • Background in construction, electrical, mechanical, or other hands-on trades
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools
  • Strong work ethic and reliability (attendance is critical)
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
