Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Clerk – 1st Shift
Job Description

The Warehouse Clerk supports all day-to-day warehouse operations with a primary focus on picking, packing, and shipping clothing products. This role works across all general warehouse functions, including loading and unloading, shipping and receiving, labeling, and organizing athletic apparel. The position is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable with physical work, and looking for a 1st shift schedule in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all general warehouse tasks, with a primary focus on packing orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Pick and pack clothing products, including shirts, gloves, shorts, and other athletic gear, for shipment to customers across the country.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently using proper material handling techniques.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations, including checking incoming and outgoing products against documentation.
  • Use RF scanners and basic data entry processes to track, locate, and confirm inventory and orders.
  • Label, sort, and organize clothing products and other items in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in all warehouse zones.
  • Handle an influx of products coming from various locations and assist with managing increased workload during peak seasons.
  • Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines while performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking products.
  • Collaborate with warehouse leads, supervisors, and team members to meet daily productivity and accuracy goals.
  • Support overtime and additional workload as needed during busy periods and project phases.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
  • Minimum of 3 months of experience in packing or working as a packager is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Material handling experience, including loading and unloading products.
  • Proficiency in order picking and packing in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform entry-level shipping and receiving tasks accurately.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory or order processing.
  • Basic data entry skills for tracking and updating order and inventory information.
  • Ability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Comfort working with clothing and athletic gear products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a smaller, team-oriented warehouse environment.
  • Comfort working in a busy seasonal operation with fluctuating workloads.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and shipping.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance, especially during the initial 3–4 months.
  • Willingness to take on a variety of warehouse tasks and support different areas as needed.
  • Openness to overtime during peak periods and when additional hours are offered.
Why Work Here?

You join a growing operation with significant incoming work and the opportunity to demonstrate your value during a high-need period. The role offers a consistent 1st shift schedule and the potential for a longer-term assignment based on your performance over the first 3–4 months. You can gain solid warehouse experience in a busy, product-focused environment, with opportunities for overtime as workload increases. This is a chance to work in a setting where effort is noticed and there is room for future possibilities as the business evolves and expands.

Work Environment

This role is based in a smaller warehouse operation of approximately 300,000 square feet, where most temporary employees work alongside a core team of leads and supervisors. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, especially from summer through winter, which is the busiest season due to high demand for sports and athletic gear. Work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks such as picking, packing, loading, unloading, labeling, and organizing products. You will handle clothing items such as shirts, gloves, shorts, and other athletic gear, including products arriving from multiple locations. Standard hours are 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with anticipated overtime offered during periods of high volume.
