Biologist (Entry)

Location: Chesterfield, MO, 63017

Duration: 06+ Months


We are looking for an Entry-Level Biologist to support agricultural and plant research activities in a dynamic laboratory and research environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in Biology, Plant Science, Agriculture, Crop Science, Agronomy, Seed Science, or related fields who are interested in hands-on research operations.


What You’ll Do

  • Support the handling, processing, organization, and inventory management of agricultural and research materials.
  • Process material requests and ensure accurate movement of materials across research operations.
  • Perform laboratory-based material processing while following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Support greenhouse activities, plant care, and maintenance of research materials.
  • Assist with seed, plant, and other research material storage, including cold storage operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform data entry using standard computer applications.
  • Support shipping, receiving, workspace organization, and day-to-day operational activities.
  • Operate, maintain, and assist with troubleshooting laboratory and operational equipment.
  • Work closely with research teams and cross-functional departments to support ongoing projects.


What We’re Looking For

  • Associate degree or higher in Biology, Agriculture, Plant Science, Crop Science, Agronomy, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Previous experience through coursework, internships, laboratory work, agricultural research, greenhouse operations, or related environments is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Basic understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable working with inventory, research materials, laboratory processes, and data entry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs. with assistance.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in varying hot or cold environments.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE and support different operational areas as needed.
