Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking an Entry Level Environmental Engineer for employment within our Environmental Remediation Practices group in the Fort Collins or Denver, Colorado offices to support soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to learn new skills and methods on challenging field and office assignments in a collaborative team environment.
This position is expected to begin ASAP.
Tasks will include:
  • Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, groundwater, and remediation system data, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors.
  • Produce accurate and complete documentation of operation, inspections and compliance
  • Field document preparation, field data collection, processing and interpretation.
  • Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.
  • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related field and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
  • Valid driver's license, subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening.
  • Subject to Background check.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant years of field experience in environmental consulting.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training Supervisory.
  • Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to Health and Safety.
