Job description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst 1 to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i.
This entry level position supports accreditation activity efforts by coordinating with Koa Lani IT Department, PMRF C-ISSM/C-ISSO, ISO and other Government personnel. Monitor and coordinate implementation of IAVM, Patches, STIG, etc.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists in all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
  • Supports ISSOs in duties and responsibilities in DODI 8500.01, DODI 8510.01, and U.S. Navy Policy.
  • Complete activities related to NIST RMF Assessment & Authorization (A&A) Process and other policies for the administration and safeguarding of US and foreign Government classified and unclassified information as it pertains to networks, standalone computer systems, and data encryption for review by the ISSO or Cyber Operations Manager.
  • Perform security tasks required by the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-37, DoD 8500.1 DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process, DOD Instruction 8510.01 Risk Management Framework for DoD Systems for review by ISSO or Cyber Operations Manager.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling 1 to 10 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and crawling, kneeling or cramped work, requiring repeated stooping and frequent climbing. The environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, in a confined work area.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • DoD 8570/8140: IAM I

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years of work experience in Information Technology.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
