Job description

We are seeking a SOC Analyst I for a 12-month contract that is hybrid in Herndon, VA.


****this is a 24x7 SOC must be available to work any shift (shift will be consistent)


** Must be US Citizen or Green card holder no 3rd party candidates


What you'll do:


Monitor security events and alerts using SPLUNK

Perform triage and investigation into alerts

Use ServiceNow to track, document and log incidents and records

Perform initial triage to alarms


What we're looking for:

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Cybersecurity or related field or equivalent experience

Experience with Splunk SIEM

Exposure to ServiceNow ticketing

Ability to work in a 24x7 SOC

Prefer security certifications

2 years of security or incident experience
