The Facilities Management Department is looking for a Housekeeping and Events Setup Worker for Custodial Services. Entry-level position includes facilities cleaning and events setup duties. Pick-up trash including weekends. Setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events. Perform other duties as required. Work ethic will include excellent cleaning skills, quality controls, and teamwork. The successful candidate will possess a passion for their work and believe in the mission of Marymount University.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cleaning of facilities and trash removal.
  • Setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events.
  • Communicates with University management, customers, and staff to ensure needs are met and cleaning standards are achieved.
  • Performs cleaning service requests and event setup requirements.
  • Uses the required supplies and equipment made available to staff to meet quality cleaning standards.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with staff, customers, and the University community.
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Custodial Supervisor.
  • Physical condition adequate to perform job functions.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Non-shift hours, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of background check upon employment.

Compensation/Total Rewards
The hourly rate for this position is $16.00.
