As an Entry Level Crime Scene Technician, your day usually begins with briefings from law enforcement and then traveling to various crime scenes where you assist in documenting, photographing, and collecting physical evidence. You may work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes during irregular hours or in challenging conditions, depending on when incidents occur. Collaboration with police officers, forensic scientists, and supervisors is frequent, as you provide critical support to investigative teams. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining equipment, logging evidence, and preparing reports to ensure proper chain of custody is followed throughout the process.
