Description

Position Summary: The Associate Broker is an entry-level role focused on supporting the Lead Broker in managing client accounts and learning the technical aspects of insurance placements. This position provides hands-on experience in market research, submission creation, and client communication, with the goal of eventually becoming a Lead Broker. The role also includes assisting in relationship-building and supporting the achievement of targeted revenue goals.

Essential Tasks:

  • Support the Lead Broker with the goal of gaining knowledge of their responsibilities and progressing toward a Lead Broker role.
  • Assist in the service and market placement of Lead Broker's portfolio.
  • Learn the technical aspects of the account placement process, including creation of submission, evaluation of submission for exposures and required coverages, identifying missing information, market direction, pricing, contract language, follow through with markets, and quoting to clients.
  • Working with Lead Broker to learn successful account placement communication and negotiating strategies with insurance companies and clients.
  • Participate in building new individual relationships and strengthening current relationships with clients through contact and sales calls along side the Lead Broker.
  • Supporting Lead Broker in the achievement of targeted revenue goals.
  • Gaining broad knowledge of commercial insurance and company product lines.
  • Ability to travel.
