Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Family Law Paralegal to support attorneys in managing family law matters from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and experience handling sensitive and confidential client information.
The Family Law Paralegal will assist with case preparation, legal research, document drafting, court filings, client communication, and case management while maintaining professionalism and empathy when working with clients experiencing difficult family circumstances.
Pay: $50,000.00 - 55,000.00 per year
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, paternity, adoption, domestic violence, and other family law matters.
  • Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, correspondence, and case-management systems.
  • Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, financial disclosures, exhibits, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with drafting correspondence, court documents, discovery, and settlement-related materials.
  • Conduct legal and factual research as directed by attorneys.
  • Prepare discovery and assist with reviewing, organizing, and summarizing discovery responses and supporting documentation.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, depositions, trials, and settlement conferences.
  • Coordinate court filings, service of process, subpoenas, and other procedural requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, process servers, experts, and other third parties.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and ensure that files and records are complete and organized.
  • Track deadlines and proactively alert attorneys to upcoming court dates and case-related obligations.
  • Assist with client intake and gathering information and documentation necessary to evaluate cases.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Perform administrative and other case-related duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
