This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a multidisciplinary Quality and Technical team.

The R&D Chemist is responsible for developing and evaluating cosmetic formulations, supporting technical projects, conducting laboratory trials, and providing scientific support to customers and internal departments.
The position also collaborates closely with Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Production activities and Technical Services to support cross-functional projects and business needs.
1. Research & Development
  • Develop, optimize, and evaluate cosmetic formulations based on customer needs, internal projects, and new raw materials.
  • Design and conduct laboratory trials, formulation screening, compatibility studies, and stability evaluations.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and technical development records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Analyze experimental results, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and propose creative, science-based solutions.
  • Research new ingredients, technologies, and market trends to support product innovation.
2. Laboratory tasks
  • Maintain the R&D laboratory in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, chemicals, reference materials, and consumables.
  • Perform equipment verification, internal calibrations, and routine maintenance according to SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, GMP requirements, and good laboratory practices.
3. Quality Control Support
  • Perform quality control testing of raw materials, finished products, and development batches when required.
  • Issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) following completion and review of laboratory testing.
  • Maintain retain samples and development sample inventory.

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized laboratory records in accordance with GMP and GDP requirements.
4. Technical Services & Product Support

  • Provide technical support during manufacturing, scale-up activities, and process troubleshooting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, SOP development, GMP compliance activities, and internal audits.
What We're Looking For

This role combines creativity with discipline: developing innovative formulations while maintaining rigorous laboratory practices, accurate documentation, and reliable quality data.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Scientific curiosity and creativity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of laboratory operations.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support other Quality Department activities as business needs evolve.
