Job description

Position Summary:
At Mission Design & Automation, we attribute our success to the strength of our team and our ability to be agile and adaptive to new market demands. To build on this team, we are searching for an Electrician. This role will collaborate with engineers, project management, and other team members to complete machine electrical requirements per project specifications. Electricians work closely with controls and mechanical engineers to design and wire custom automation equipment. The ideal candidate will balance multiple projects, possess a high technical aptitude, and have a broad experience in automation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with machine builders, mechanical designers, and controls engineers to install, repair, and rebuild electrical systems for various machine
  • Effectively and safely troubleshoot wiring and circuits
  • Wire according to NEC
  • Assist with machine tear down and installation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments during various project phases
  • Communicate with Lead Electrician, Electrical Manager, and other departments on project progress and status
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision
  • Document and communicate machine changes and issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop area

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification (Vocational education preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years Electrical experience
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with focus on safety and quality
  • Proficient in schematic interpretation, panel building, machine wiring, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to maintain steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing into and beneath machines
  • Work as part of a team or independently with direction from Lead Electrician or Manager
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required
  • Ability to obtain Hi-Lo and Aerial Platform and Overhead Crane License
  • Ability to provide your own hand tools and toolbox
  • Travel up to 20% may be required domestically and internationally
