Summary: 

  • Leads development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish system design.

  • Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.

  • Leads development, maintenance, or modification of system components' designs and proposals to provide installation and detail documentation.

  • Performs and documents analyses for mechanical and fluid systems components.

  • Manages supplier development, test, and production activities and directs supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.

  • Prioritizes, delegates, and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms, landing gear, and ordnance components.

  • Selects appropriate methods to validate or assess design of mechanical and fluid systems.

  • Uses CAD tools for design and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems.

  • Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts.

  • Trains and coaches others in mechanical and fluid systems engineering.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Design engineering experience in mechanical or fluid systems.

  • Experience with environmental control systems or design.

  • Familiarity with CAD tools for mechanical design and documentation.

  • Experience validating and verifying mechanical and fluid system requirements.

  • Experience managing supplier development and production activities.

  • Experience documenting analyses of mechanisms, landing gear, or ordnance components.

  • Experience supporting proposal preparation and new business development.

  • Preferred: Manufacturing experience and connection to production environment.
