We're looking for a Control Systems Engineer in St. Louis to join our team! This position will focus on managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, have a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.
General Job Duties:
  • Performing GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
  • Designing, developing and implementing solutions to resolve customer issues
  • Consulting with and training end users on new applications
  • Assisting in project development and planning
  • Performing onsite pilots, FAT testing, SAT testing, and demos as needed
  • The location of the position is in Missouri.
  • Position requires 30 - 40% independent travel to customer locations
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training will also be considered.
  • Experience with industrial PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, etc.)
  • Required experience with Rockwell PLCs
  • Control Systems implementation, design, installations, and troubleshooting
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics and electrical installations
  • Acute attention to detail and process
  • Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and in team environments
