Job description

Introduction
As a QA/Test Engineer within IBM Infrastructure, you will ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise software solutions. You will work closely with developers, architects, product managers, and support teams to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, automate test coverage, identify defects, and drive continuous quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Your role and responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and end-to-end test plans.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and test suites to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with software developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality is built into the development process.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, sprint planning, and agile development activities.
• Perform root cause analysis of product defects and work with engineering teams to drive corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated testing and quality gates.
• Monitor product quality metrics and recommend improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Create and maintain test documentation, validation reports, and quality assurance standards.
