Job description

Description:

Marketing Coordinator

Location: Laurel, Mississippi (on-site)

Employment Type: Full-time

FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly) — recommended; confirm against actual duties before posting

Reports To: EVP

Works Closely With: Thermo-Kool's outside marketing agency of record

Position Summary:

Thermo-Kool is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the company's day-to-day marketing activities. Working closely with our outside marketing agency, this position will coordinate internal marketing needs, support the execution of marketing initiatives, and help keep projects, communications, and deliverables on schedule. The outside agency will lead marketing strategy, campaign planning, and creative direction, while the Marketing Coordinator will serve as Thermo-Kool's primary internal point of contact and support local execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Thermo-Kool's day-to-day liaison to our outside marketing agency — relay requests, brand assets, product information, and approvals; keep projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate content and creative review cycles, gather internal feedback, consolidate edits, and return timely approvals to our marketing agency.
  • Handle day-to-day social media posting and community engagement using the content calendar and brand guidelines, and serve as a clear, responsive point of contact.
  • Track the marketing budget, invoices, and agency deliverables against scope; flag issues to leadership.
  • Support product launches and keep sales collateral, spec sheets, and internal communications current and on brand.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all Thermo-Kool materials, internal and external.
  • Assist with website content updates and execute email campaigns built by our outside marketing agency, including send scheduling, list management, and basic edits.
  • Pull and organize performance reporting from our marketing agency, including web, social, and campaign metrics, into summaries for leadership.
  • Represent Thermo-Kool at local events, trade shows, and community sponsorships as needed.
  • Execute local, in-store, and point-of-sale marketing: signage, promotions, local sponsorships, community events, and trade show logistics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of marketing, coordination, or project management experience preferred; open to a strong entry-level candidate.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through — this role is built around managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders at once.
  • Comfortable managing a working relationship with an outside vendor/agency.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; comfortable learning new marketing and reporting platforms.
  • Valid driver's license — some local travel for events and site visits.
