What is the 80 20 rule in photography?

The 80/20 rule in photography suggests that roughly 80% of the results come from 20% of the effort or focus, meaning that a content creator or photographer should prioritize the most impactful elements, such as composition and lighting, to improve their work efficiently. For entry-level content creators, understanding this can help focus practice on key skills that yield the most significant improvements in photos. Mastering basic editing tools and understanding subject focus are also essential for producing high-quality images quickly.

Is AI replacing photographers?

AI technology is increasingly used to assist photographers by automating tasks like editing and image enhancement, but it does not replace the creative and technical skills required for professional photography. Entry level content creator photographers can leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, but human judgment and artistic vision remain essential in producing high-quality images.

How do I become a photographer with no experience?

To become an entry-level content creator photographer with no experience, start by learning basic photography skills through online tutorials and practicing with a camera or smartphone. $15 - $18/hr

Full-time

Key responsibilities

  • Shoot high-quality photos and content of guests during their water adventures.

  • Edit and organize images to meet quality standards and turnaround times.

  • Create engaging content for social media channels including reels, highlights, and behind-the-scenes.

Job description

Photographer & Content Creator in Fort Walton Beach.

Your office is a Fort Walton Beach waterfront. Your subjects are people having the best day of their vacation. And your job is to make sure they have something to show for it. Destiny Water Adventures is looking for a creative, outgoing Photographer and Content Creator to capture the moments our guests will be talking about for years — the wipeouts, the victory laps, the pure joy of a day on the water. No professional experience required — just a genuine love for photography, a good eye, and the kind of personality that puts people at ease in front of a lens.

What you'll be doing:
  • Shooting high-quality photos and content of guests during their water adventures
  • Editing and organizing images to meet our quality standards and turnaround times
  • Creating engaging content for our social media channels — reels, highlights, behind-the-scenes
  • Interacting with guests in a friendly, professional way that makes them comfortable in front of the camera
  • Keeping your equipment in excellent working condition and ready to go every day
  • Collaborating with the team to make sure every guest experience is captured at its best

Who you are:
  • Passionate about photography and have a natural eye for a great shot
  • Comfortable shooting outdoors in bright, fast-moving conditions
  • Familiar with basic photo editing — Lightroom, Snapseed, or similar
  • Social media savvy — you understand what makes content actually perform
  • Outgoing and personable — you're as comfortable talking to guests as you are behind the camera
  • No prior professional experience required — portfolio or personal work welcome

Your portfolio grows all summer long — and so does your paycheck. Pay based on experience, plus tips.

The details:
  • Seasonal summer position based at our Fort Walton Beach waterfront
  • Outdoor, active role — no two shoots look the same
  • Be part of a fun, tight-knit crew that takes the guest experience seriously

Come build your portfolio where others build their vacation memories.
