Job description

PetIQ is seeking a Retail Media Analyst to support media campaigns across Amazon, Walmart, Chewy, Petco, PetSmart, and other key retail partners.
In this role, you'll help plan, execute, optimize, and report on retail media campaigns while partnering with Brand, Sales, eCommerce, and Media teams. You'll leverage retailer data, keyword strategy, bid optimization, and performance insights to improve visibility, conversions, and ROI across PetIQ's portfolio of pet health and wellness brands.
This cross-functional role is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their expertise in retail media, shopper marketing, and performance analytics while helping PetIQ connect with pet parents across the digital shelf.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Platform Execution & Optimization: Serve as day-to-day support for retail media campaign activation and optimization across key retailer platforms, including Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Chewy Ads, Petco Ads, and other strategic retail media networks.
  • Paid Search Management: Support keyword strategy, search term analysis, bid optimization, targeting adjustments, campaign structure, and budget recommendations to improve visibility, conversion, and efficiency across priority brands and items.
  • Campaign Pacing, Forecasting & Budget Monitoring: Monitor campaign pacing, spend delivery, budgets, forecasts, and performance trends, flagging risks, under-delivery, overspend, or reallocation opportunities to the broader media team.
  • Performance Reporting & Data Accuracy: Build, maintain, and enhance recurring performance reports across retail media channels, ensuring data accuracy, consistent taxonomy, clean campaign naming, and reliable reporting inputs.
  • Insight Development: Analyze KPIs including ROAS, CPC, CTR, conversion rate, attributed sales, impression share, share of voice, new-to-brand metrics, and Net Sales impact to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Business Impact Translation: Translate in-platform performance metrics into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders, connecting retail media performance to broader brand, customer, and commercial objectives.
  • Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with Brand, Sales, eCommerce, Creative, and internal Media team members to ensure campaigns are aligned to business priorities, retailer strategies, product availability, creative assets, and promotional timing. External partner collaboration: Work with retail media platforms, agency partners, and managed service teams to support campaign setup, execution, optimization, performance reviews, and testing initiatives.
  • Testing & Learning: Support test-and-learn initiatives across ad formats, targeting strategies, keyword approaches, creative variations, audience segments, and measurement methodologies, translating learnings into scalable best practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Develop clear, concise updates, reporting narratives, and presentation materials for internal business reviews, brand meetings, customer discussions, and ad hoc leadership requests.
  • Industry & Platform Knowledge: Stay current on retail media platform capabilities, paid search best practices, measurement tools, competitive trends, and broader commerce media developments to help advance PetIQ's retail media practice.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, retail media, media buying, or marketing analytics.
  • Experience managing and optimizing paid media campaigns with an understanding of campaign optimization strategies and key digital marketing KPIs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience building and maintaining recurring performance reports.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Understanding of the digital marketing funnel and how media influences consumer behavior across each stage.
  • Understanding of omnichannel strategy, including search, display, and full-funnel campaign planning to drive both brand awareness and sales growth.
  • General knowledge of ecommerce and digital retail, including online shopping platforms, customer purchasing behavior, digital merchandising, and standard online storefront operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a curious, analytical mindset and a passion for continuously improving campaign performance, reporting, and operational efficiencies.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with retail media platforms such as Walmart Connect, Amazon Ads, Target Roundel, Chewy Ads, Sam's Club Connect, or similar retail media networks.
  • Experience collaborating with retail media agencies or technology partners, such as Stackline, Pacvue, or similar campaign management and reporting partners.
  • Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Sisense, or Looker.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms to manage priorities, workflows, and deadlines.
