Your Opportunity
We oversee projects involving roadways, structures, interchanges, and toll plazas. Offering expert consulting from design to construction. We are looking for a Technical Assistant (TA), entry level and above, to assist in Construction Inspection projects across Pennsylvania.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
  • Responsible to inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
  • Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
  • Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup.
  • Inspect erosion control devices, ensure they are maintained and that they are in compliance with applicable permits.
  • Monitor and record materials certifications in accordance with the client's procedures.

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or relevant experience can be used in place of diploma.
  • Minimum of one (1) year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects is preferred.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.
  • Willing to completed PennDOT (12) web-based TCI training modules preferred.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
