Job description

About Our Client

Our client is a private real estate lending and capital markets firm headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, with active operations across multiple U.S. markets. They finance the builders, developers, and investors who move first — providing ground-up construction, bridge, and investment property loans designed around how real estate actually gets built. They are deliberately small, deliberately fast, and deliberately technical. Their underwriting combines institutional-grade credit discipline with the operational instincts of people who have stood on jobsites and watched a draw schedule slip. That combination is rare in private lending, and it is the reason our borrowers stay.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, entry-level Loan Officer position based out of the Greenville, SC office. This is a true origination seat — you will own your own pipeline from day one, with structured training and direct support from both founders. You will work a blend of inbound leads generated by our marketing engine and outbound prospecting into builders, investors, and referral partners across our lending footprint. Your job is to turn conversations into closed loans, and to build the kind of referral book that compounds year over year. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Own the borrower relationship — First point of contact for inbound leads and outbound targets. Qualify, structure, and guide borrowers through the loan process.
  • Structure deals — Learn to price and package fix-and-flip, bridge, and ground-up construction loans in line with our credit framework.
  • Build your pipeline — Prospect builders, investors, brokers, and agents in our target markets. Attend conferences and local industry events as you develop.
  • Manage the process — Coordinate between borrowers, processing, underwriting, and closing to keep files moving. Use LendingWise, HubSpot, and Nextiva as your daily tools.
  • Represent PK Capital — Show up to every call, email, and meeting the way the founders would. Our reputation is our moat.

Requirements

We are hiring for aptitude and drive, not experience. You do not need a background in lending or real estate. You do need to be the kind of person who will outwork the room and learn faster than anyone expects.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 0–1 years of professional experience. Recent graduates welcome.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You will be on the phone and in email all day.
  • Comfortable with technology. You will work daily in LendingWise, HubSpot, Microsoft 365, DocuSign, and Nextiva.
  • Real estate or construction exposure. Internship, family business, summer work, flipping on the side — any real familiarity with how properties get built and financed is an advantage.
  • Outbound sales experience. Cold-calling, door-to-door, campus fundraising, commission sales. If you have picked up a phone and asked a stranger for their business, that counts.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain NMLS licensing. PK Capital will sponsor the process, including exam prep and state fee

Benefits

  • Base Salary ranging from $40,000-$45,0000 + no-cap commission
  • Specific commission details will be discussed in the interview process
  • Health insurance (medical)
  • Paid time off and standard holidays
  • NMLS licensing sponsored and paid by the firm
  • Travel to industry conferences and networking events as you develop
