The Position:


The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Project Managers (PMs) and other key people within the organization with day-to-day tasks such as bidding, scheduling, contracts, billing and collection, etc.

  • Assists the PMs with all duties, including but not limited to:

    • Safety

    • Software and applications (HCSS, financials, scheduling, etc.)

    • Take-offs

    • Bidding

    • Building (grading, paving, milling, subcontractors)

    • Scheduling

    • Equipment use

    • Contracts and negotiation

    • Billing and collection

    • Specifications

    • Beginning knowledge of mix designs, plants, and aggregate sites (manufacturing)

    • General business operations (understands details of company operations)

  • In conjunction with the other Project Engineers and PMs, ensures the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are addressed in a timely fashion

  • Spends time with Operations, PMs, Scheduling and some exposure to Manufacturing and Technical Services

  • Attends project meetings (pre-construction, pre-pave, scheduling, etc.)

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization or combination of schooling and relevant work experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

  • Prior transportation industry and logistics experience

  • Relevant industry experiences a plus
