Job Title: Inspection Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Inspection Technicians to join our team in conducting facility inspections and surveys. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to communicate effectively. Candidates should have a basic mechanical ability and a professional demeanor, as the role involves entering customers' homes. This is an entry-level position with a focus on reliability and professionalism. The role demands the physical ability to walk, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an entire 8-hour workday in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic facility inspections and surveys on utility-owned gas meters for corrosion and/or damage.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and document inspection findings in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support the successful completion of regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Conduct integrity surveys, including direct assessments and close interval surveys.
  • Perform audit reviews with operations and support them during audits.

Essential Skills

  • Valid driver's license and at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and initiative skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and mechanical aptitude.
