Summary:

As an Staff Engineer at Kapur & Associates, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects that positively impact communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers in the planning and design of transportation projects.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather relevant data for project analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, reports, and specifications.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools to perform calculations and simulations.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines.
  • Stay up to date of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in transportation engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong academic background with a focus on transportation engineering coursework.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or other relevant tools.
  • Knowledgeable in transportation engineering design of urban and rural roadways
  • Knowledge with INDOT projects is a plus
