Job description

Location: Lincoln, RI
Job Title: Construction HVAC Foreman
Are you a seasoned HVAC professional with a knack for leadership? We're looking for a Construction HVAC Foreman to oversee our HVAC installation teams on commercial and residential construction projects. You'll be the backbone of the operation, ensuring every job is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
As an HVAC Foreman, you'll be responsible for leading and supervising a crew of technicians and apprentices. You will be the main point of contact on-site for HVAC installations, coordinating with project managers and other trades to ensure a smooth workflow. Your expertise will be essential in reading blueprints, interpreting project specs, and making sure all installations are code-compliant.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Lead daily activities for the HVAC crew, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Ensure all safety protocols, including daily Job Hazard Assessments and PPE requirements, are followed.
  • Supervise and delegate job site tasks based on project plans and schedules.
  • Interpret blueprints, mechanical layouts, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to avoid conflicts.
  • Create and submit accurate material lists to prevent project delays.
  • Perform quality control checks to verify installations meet specifications and code requirements.
  • Submit daily foreman logs with photo documentation and crew hours.
  • Report field conditions, material status, and potential safety incidents to Project Managers.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and provide on-the-job training to new employees and apprentices.
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for HVAC inspections and project decisions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job site.
  • Lead by example by performing installation or related tasks as needed.

Requirements:
  • Valid RI Journeyman Refrigeration, Pipefitter, or Sheet Metal license is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC Foreman in a commercial or construction setting.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC codes, systems, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical layouts.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team management skills.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
