Job Summary:
AeroVironment (AV) is a global leader in unmanned aircraft systems and tactical missile systems. They are seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to support NASIC at Wright-Patterson AFB by writing and maintaining source code repositories for data analysis tools that aid in producing technical intelligence products.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Enhance and maintain existing code bases for multiple applications and websites on both the Windows and Linux environments.
โ€ข Participating in software design meetings and reviews.
โ€ข Working with other software developers in a team environment.
โ€ข Implementing unit tests and participating in functional test plan execution.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or a closely related technical field.
โ€ข 0-3 years of experience in software design, development, coding, testing, and debugging.
โ€ข Knowledge in web/service-based design, programming, and requirements.
โ€ข Knowledge in front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as Angular or React JS.
โ€ข Knowledge of server-side programming languages such as C++, Python, and Go.
โ€ข Familiarity using Git to manage code repositories.
โ€ข U.S. Citizenship required.
โ€ข Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
