Bair, Goodie and Associates, Inc. (Bair Goodie) is seeking a Civil Engineer for its New Philadelphia, OH office. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for performing grading and drainage designs, preparing stormwater management and erosion control plan drawings, completing supporting calculations and analyses, and preparing permit application packages for a range of project types, including large energyโ€‘related and environmental projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil engineering or related field required.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.

Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software.

Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models, Civil3D and stormwater management design software such as HydroCAD).

Ability to work with surveyors and incorporate various survey related data.

Ability to complete tasks in the field as well as in the office.

Responsibilities

Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.

Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

Prepare engineering or surveying related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.

Work under supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE) or senior-level team member.
