We are hiring an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to support extrusion and molding operations. This role offers hands-on training and exposure to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with machine setup, mold changes, and production startups
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of extrusion and molding equipment
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Monitor production lines for safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Identify product defects and assist in making adjustments to improve quality
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Learn to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Assist with equipment installations (motors, relays, starters, and control circuits)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with GMP standards

Qualifications (Entry-Level Friendly)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in maintenance and repairs
  • Exposure to tools, equipment, or hands-on work (school, job, or personal projects)
  • Willingness to learn electrical systems, PLC basics, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

No advanced experience required. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Work Environment

This position is based in a 90,000 square foot plastics manufacturing facility producing bottles and packaging for consumer products such as shampoo, lotion, and cleaning solutions.

The facility operates multiple extrusion lines and uses mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Equipment includes pumps, blowers, conveyors, dryers, and refrigeration systems.

Shift: 3rd Shift (4:00 PM – 4:00 AM, 2-2-3 rotating schedule, 3 day weekend every other week)

Employees must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), maintain a clean workspace, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment while performing hands-on maintenance tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
