Position Description


Join a global technology company with US headquarters Exton, PA. This position is primarily focused on inside sales, business development, lead generation, account management, customer relationship management, and sales prospecting. This role is responsible for qualifying inbound leads, developing new business opportunities through outbound outreach, managing customer accounts, and supporting the full sales cycle from lead qualification through order fulfillment. This position requires the utilization of Salesforce.com to document and manage customer activity.


This is an entry level position with advancement opportunities. Basler offers a hybrid schedule of working remotely and at the Exton, PA office.


Tasks and Responsibilities


▪ Generate B2B sales revenue by managing and growing existing customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, performing outbound prospecting via phone and email, and converting inbound leads into sales opportunities.

▪ Effectively stay on top of and handle incoming customer support issues

▪ Maintain knowledge of Basler products, applications and competitive products

▪ Develop sufficient application knowledge to assist customers and effectively sell Basler products and solutions

▪ Develop the ability to understand who our target customers are and what projects are viable to pursue so that time and resources are spent wisely

▪ Manage inbound lead generation pipeline through Salesforce CRM, ensuring timely follow-up, pipeline development, and lead qualification.

▪ Work with the Partner Manager to ensure that leads are fairly distributed between Channel Partners

▪ Develop expertise and discipline regarding the use of Salesforce.com in order to ensure that customer and market information is accurate and opportunities are updated and maintained

▪ Effectively utilize support resources for consultative sales and revenue growth within Basler in the Americas and Basler headquarters in Germany as needed

▪ Own and maintain accurate customer, account, contact, and opportunity information within Salesforce CRM while supporting forecasting, quoting activities, and sales reporting.

▪Collaborate with Application Engineers, Product Management, Customer Support, and Operations teams to develop and deliver complete machine vision and computer vision solutions.

▪ Participation in tradeshows as needed


Skills required


▪ 0-2 years of experience in inside sales, business development, account management, technical sales, customer success, customer support, or related customer-facing roles

▪ Four-year college degree highly preferred

▪ Technical aptitude with an interest in industrial automation, machine vision, computer vision, imaging technology, sensors, cameras, and manufacturing technology

▪ Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software operating systems

▪ Takes ownership of problems and opportunities and sees them through to successful resolution

▪ Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills

▪ Possesses a strategic mindset and a strong sense of urgency

▪ Driven to succeed and has the ability and inclination to pursue new business (“Hunter” mentality)

▪ Ability to adapt and take on new tasks and responsibilities with a positive attitude and growth mindset
