Job Description

Job Title: Senior Computer Vision Engineer

Location: Burlington, MA (Hybrid-Onsite Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Type of Hire: Contract

Pay rate: $65/hr to $71/hr on W2

Duration: 6+ Months

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Algorithm Engineer to support the high-priority Aurora next-generation project focused on eye tracking and iris registration technologies. This role is ideal for candidates with strong Computer Vision (CV) algorithm development experience and a passion for solving complex real-world imaging challenges in a fast-paced research environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for eye tracking and iris registration applications
  • Improve algorithm robustness and accuracy under challenging imaging conditions
  • Analyze algorithm performance, edge cases, and failure modes using internal and clinical datasets
  • Design and prototype algorithms primarily using classical CV methods with selective ML support
  • Perform benchmarking, statistical evaluations, and robustness analysis
  • Collaborate with Applied Research and Software Engineering teams for solution development and production handoff

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; Masterโ€™s or PhD preferred
  • Strong experience in Computer Vision algorithm development
  • Experience with iris detection, eye tracking, feature detection, geometry modeling, or registration algorithms
  • Strong Python programming skills for rapid prototyping and research development
  • Experience evaluating algorithm performance and debugging failure modes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Machine Learning exposure supporting CV workflows
  • C++ experience for production support and integration
  • Background in statistics, benchmarking, and evaluation metrics
