Role Summary:
The System Analyst is responsible for the stability, configuration, and continuous improvement of BJ's Warehouse Management System (WMS), Labor Management System (LMS), and supporting operational technologies within the Distribution Center. This role ensures systems are fully functional during live operations, supports system enhancements and automation initiatives, and partners closely with Operations and IT to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

The System Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for distribution systems, providing user support, training, testing, and data integrity oversight while maintaining compliance with BJ's policies and regulatory requirements. This position requires availability during off-hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call support, to ensure uninterrupted warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure WMS and LMS functionality during live distribution center operations, responding to system issues in real time.
  • Maintain and support all WMS-related hardware and software, including RF devices, workstations, printers, servers, and peripherals.
  • Maintain warehouse locations, system configurations, and operational parameters aligned with BJ's distribution processes.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement enhancements to WMS, LMS, and other operational tools.
  • Partner with IT and Operations to support system upgrades, automation tools, and process enhancements.
  • Support change management efforts for new system implementations, upgrades, and process changes, ensuring smooth adoption across distribution teams.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system validation, and parameter definition for enhancements and releases.
  • Provide WMS, LMS, and SAP system training to distribution center team members.
  • Act as a systems subject matter expert (SME) for operational teams and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with BJ's policies, industry regulations, and safety requirements, including hazmat and inventory controls.
  • Maintain critical computer equipment supporting distribution operations.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Distribution, Transportation, or Warehouse Operations.
  • Experience supporting WMS and/or LMS in a high-volume distribution environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate's degree in business management, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with system maintenance, configuration, and basic system logic or programming concepts.
  • Working knowledge of WMS, LMS, and SAP systems preferred.
  • Ability to support system testing, configuration, documentation, and training.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a distribution center environment, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and sit for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to operate powered equipment when required.
