Kings View is a nonprofit leader in providing behavioral health services to the underserved community, is currently seeking a driven Mental Health Clinician I to join our mission to provide compassionate services to those with limited resources. Our ideal candidate will have a passion to promote social justice and societal awareness, respect for human dignity, and lead with integrity while listening and responding to the community in need.

Mental Health Clinician I (346)
Porterville, CA   

Serve as an effective liaison between KV and community partners. Display an entry level ability in diagnostic evaluation and assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy and various modalities of therapy.

How will I contribute

  • Provide direct mental health services to primarily Transitional Aged Youth consumers under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and Asst Reg Director of Clinical Programs.
  • Maintain clear, accurate and concise consumer records on the same day as service 80% of the time with a 70% productivity goal.
  • Assist clinical department head as requested/required.
  •  Provide professional linkage/consultation with outside entities.
  • Enter all service information in the Tulare County HHSA Management Information System by completing Electronic Service Activity Logs (ESALs) at the end of every shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What I bring

  •          Master Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Sciences, or related.
  •          Registered AMFT, ASW, or APCC with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  •          Class C Driving License
  •          Entry-level ability in direct client-centered services with an interest in practicing psychotherapy.
  •          Achieve basic competence in EHR, maintain documentation that meets program and county guidelines and requirements.
  •          Basic knowledge of computer systems, including emails, calendars and electronic health systems. Contribute ideas to make program more effective. Able to understand complex systems of care, policies and procedures, build and maintain positive relationship with various members of the clinical team
  •          Organized, team oriented, reliable, self-sufficient, responsive and positive approach. Works will with Transitional Age Youth and families, schools
  •          Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
